Announcement of the Silver City Final Conference For the Golden Age
The SILVER CITY project is coming to its end and will be closed with the final conference For the Golden Age that will be held on 23rd September 2014 in Hotel Thermana, Laško, Slovenia. At the conference, Silver City project results, experiences and good practices in the area of active ageing will be presented. Special attention will be given to the presentation of pilots related to employment of 50+ and volunteering of 60+ developed and tested in all six partners’ countries. The conference is an opportunity for positive promotion and exchange of opinions and views in the area of active ageing in the EU countries. The conference will bring together stakeholders, policy and decision makers from project partners’ and other EU countries, local authorities, experts in the area of active ageing and other interested public.

SOLUTION ENGINEERING SESSIONS
Representatives of project partners met six times to share local policy contexts, main findings of city surveys, to exchange views on possible directions, to discuss good practices under specific topics, and to form recommendations for pilot actions to promote active ageing locally. Partner meetings had active interactions among hosts and visiting participants to enhance understanding of local achievements and challenges, and to share experiences with proven measures or tools in activating elderly, or good governance in the field.
